Phillis' Story
- September 29, 2021

September 30th has been declared Orange Shirt Day annually, in recognition of the harm the residential school system did to children's sense of self-esteem and well being, and as an affirmation of our commitment to ensure that everyone around us matters.

Phyllis (Jack) Webstad's story in her own words...

Visit the website to read Phyllis' Story. https://www.orangeshirtday.org/phyllis-story.html

You can also purchase a copy of her book at Allison the Bookman in North Bay, while there you can browse all the other indigenous authors and their stories on residential shools.
